I'll keep this as brief as possible because I really need help in this next 24 hours.
- Current phone is an iPhone 13
- Recently the phone stopped charging from the port. I cleaned it out, swapped chargers etc and nothing happened so I started using a wireless charger. Pain in the ass but worked.
- Continued using wireless charger for about 2-3 weeks, all seemed to be okay just a bit annoying.
- In the last 24 hours it became more temperamental when trying to charge it, only working in very specific sections of the wireless dock.
- It then stopped charging above 15% and would not get any higher no matter how long it stayed on the dock.
- Decided to bite the bullet and bought an iPhone 17 which will arrive in the next 24 hours.
- Charging situation got worse and would only maintain a maximum 3% charge.
- Phone has now died and is sat on dock and will not turn on even after a long time sat on it.
- iCloud backup is not as recent as I would've liked... ideally I would want to do the classic iPhone to iPhone transfer.
Is there a way to force the phone on one last time? If I take it to a shop will they be able to get it up and running long enough for me to transfer it to a new iPhone? Or will they need to put in new charging/battery hardware? Sorry if this seems stupid or anything, I'm just urgent to sort it quickly so I can get the new phone running asap.
