Siemens tumble dryer stopped working
As of last week, my Siemens tumble dryer stops working after a few minutes. The lights for "Drying" and "anti wrinkle phase / end" are flashing and it continuously makes a set of 3 bleeps.
I've read some stuff online and watched some videos. Here's what I've tried:
- turning it off for 30 minutes
- emptying the water compartment and dust filter
- cleaning the protective filter/air cooler (bottom left)
- removing the back panel (with the fluff) to look for a safety fuse with a red button. Mine doesn't have one (see pictures)
- removing the upper and side panel to clean the compartment below the drain pump and the drain pump
Any ideas?
It served me well for almost 9 years and a heat pump dryer is much more energy efficient. So I'm not letting a technician of Siemens come over for a starting rate of 150 euros. I'd rather fiddle around myself and call it a loss when I'm unable to fix it.
