Discord audio share per application not working Linux Mint 22.3

I keep hearing of this being fixed, especially with the latest "year of linux" discord update or something, but I still have the same issue where I want to screenshare a game or application, with audio, and nothing is heard to the watchers.

It works if I stream my entire desktop, but not if I narrow it to an application, any application.

Take for example, a youtube video or streaming a show on my vivaldi browser. Or a game running on steam.

I dont WANT to share my entire screen, where people can see my background windows or tabs, but i have to or there's no audio.

I use the flatpak of discord (I think, going based off of the warehouse flatpak application), from the linuxmint software manager.
I'm up to date in discord, and Im using Linux Mint 22.3. I'm up to date on distro packages too.

Am I missing something? Is there a fix out there for this?

Title.

The latest linuxmint blog post had me really pondering this.

If you get stability but also up-to-date hardware support and other bigger fixes, why would anyone not use the HWE ISOs? Besides maybe, the kernel dropping support for something REALLLLLLY old?

I just don't get it. Would the average person benefit from changing over to this, if not on the latest-and-greatest, bleeding edge hardware?

take my build for example, because I think it's pretty cheap and normal: https://termbin.com/80hi Would it squeeze something extra out of something like this?
