Not talking enough
Hello all. Hope you can give me some clarity. I may be overthinking but im not sure...
Im a 24 (F) and my partner is 25 (M). We live in two different countries. 20 Hrs time difference. We met in a country in Africa and got married after a couple of months. We lived together for about 8 months then I had to come back to Canada.
Anyways, when I first left him we barley spoke. My husband would call me once a week or something and I didnt think that was enough. He was a student so I was understanding and told him that a simple hello text would keep me happy. Then he got better. Texting me every couple of days or so. I recently gave birth to our kid and unfortunately since his visa didnt yet go through I had to do it without him. Raising our daughter alone(I got my fam though lol) I expected him to call more frequently....but the calls got less. I won't hear from him for days. Whenever he did this I was pretty upfront. I told him I would like for him to call me at least every two days. I preferred daily though. Mind you he graduated and doesnt have a job. He currently is an intern at some place but they barley give any hours.
Aka he has the time. Whenever I would tell him this he'd just laugh and say its fine. Obviously yes I would call him a lot of the days too and he wouldn't pick up sometimes.
I just feel like if he really loved me he would always want to hear from me right? I also feel like i may be overthinking?
