When did we get so old?

I (43f) always felt that I pretty much look my age. I dye my hair, but that's pretty much it as far as age disguising goes. I've just joined OLD, and all the men around my age on there look so much older. Some of them genuinely look like they could be 60. It's got me wondering if I'm being delusional about how I look. Like, maybe people in their 40s are just old. 🤷‍♀️ It's a sobering thought, lol

Meeting in person

I've recently started online dating. It's been going okay, as in there's a couple of guys who seem interested and I've enjoyed chatting with. I would like to meet someone before I get too invested in them. How do I get them to actually ask me out? One guy even said he was wanting to find something to do this weekend, but never took it further. It doesn't seem like it would be a big deal to just ask someone if they want to meet. It seems like they keep hinting around and are waiting for me to do the asking. Should I? Or just realize that if they wanted to, they would.
