ok so i decided to do baicang’s side quest (word vomit alert)
and what can i say? it was absolute cinema (I don’t have an image yet featuring one of the nte characters so I’d appreciate if one of you guys dropped an image lol)
even though we were just strangers doing their jobs we got to see people actively caring about their family/friend/acquaintance suddenly going missing.
it was really striking to me how despite Maiyue barely/not talking a single time to these people that he still made an impact on the people around him that made them almost immediately notice that he wasn’t around.
honestly i didn‘t expect the flower shop people to remember regulars but then this quest proved me wrong.
also i did not expect Baicang to know sign language, or that he’d tend to pick up miscellaneous skills at al, cause based of first impressions he seems like a chill, kinda lazy guy who’d skip out work whenever he can.
honestly, I kinda suck at typing my feelings out but I really like this side quest a lot more than I thought I would, I can’t wait to finish chapter 3 and the side quest that comes after!
