[Bloons TD 5] Platnium #21
Platnium # 21 Bloons TD 5
Enjoyment - 5/10
Time - 110 hours
Difficulty - 4/10
Trophies - 48/48
Bugged trophies - 0
Really enjoyed this platinum for the most part up until around the 60-hour mark. The game itself is fun casually, especially experimenting with towers and different strategies early on. After that though, it became very mentally draining and honestly put me off trophy hunting for a couple of months because it bothered me leaving it unfinished.
What made this platinum painful was that after completing every map on every difficulty, you then had to move onto the random missions, which required you to replay those same maps again but with random limitations. Most of these weren’t difficult, but some were frustrating because if you failed, you had to start all over again after already wasting 20 minutes on the mission.
It became really tedious seeing the number only go up by one after 20–30 minutes of gameplay. I tried forcing myself to do 10 missions a day, but eventually I gave up and took a month-long break from it.
However, I finally did it, and I’m so glad it’s over. Safe to say I have never deleted a game from my PlayStation quicker than this one, and I will never touch it again.
Same goes for Bloons TD 6, as that game is even longer than this one at around 175 hours of doing basically the same thing over and over.
I honestly do not recommend this platinum at all because, like I said, it becomes extremely painful despite the first 60 hours being enjoyable. The platinum isn’t even that rare either, sitting at 0.9%, mainly because most people who buy it seem determined to platinum it for some reason — myself included now, I guess.
