[Assassins creed platinum]

I am two art pieces away from adding platinum number 20 to my collection. I must say- Fk this trophy and F**k the game design for the trophy😂 It’s such a lazy half assed Ubisoft trophy man, like I have to wait 30 minutes to an hour for 1 single art piece for the trophy. You can’t turn the game off or pause the game either for the timer tied to this trophy to work. I love the game don’t get me wrong but man this last bit for the trophy hunt was god awful, I don’t like the platinums tied to RNG. This is as annoying of a trophy to get as Dark souls 3🫩***** Proof of concord kept took weeks to get *

[Discussion] Gaming Hot take on AI

I’ve recently seen the creators of 1666: Amsterdam getting a lot of backlash because of their pretty “wild” statements about using AI-generated content and how extensively they plan to use it throughout the game.

But if they can maintain the quality of human-made content while reducing the time and resources needed to create it, why are people so angry about it?

Wouldn’t this potentially benefit everyone? Games could be developed faster and at a lower cost, giving smaller studios a better chance to compete. It could also empower individuals with great ideas who currently lack the technical knowledge, manpower, or financial resources needed to turn those ideas into actual games.

I understand the concerns around AI replacing jobs or leading to lower-quality, mass-produced content, but if the end result is genuinely good, does it really matter how much AI was used during development?

Curious to hear what people think.

[Discussion] What guys keep you motivated in hunting?

This year i took my Platinum trophy no.100 with a dear friend of mine, and it has been a quite a journey..but i also started to ask myself if there should be something more to mark the achievement.
Obviously the Platinum itself is the reward, but I mean something that makes completing a game feel a bit more meaningful or memorable.
I’m not necessarily talking about anything with real monetary value. It could be customization, badges, titles, collectibles, some kind of progression, exclusive stuff, physical rewards, whatever.

If PlayStation ever expanded the whole reward side of trophy hunting, what would actually motivate you or feel genuinely satisfying to unlock after getting a Platinum?

Just curious what other trophy hunters think about this.

[Resident Evil 4] #79 - An amazing game, but damn S+ Professional doesn’t f*#k around!

With RE 2, 3 and 4 now behind me, ’m now halfway through my journey to platinum all 6 of the new/remade RE games.

Of the three I’ve played so far, this was without question the absolute best of them (and while 3 had its flaws, 2 is an absolutely stellar game in its own right).

This one ended up taking me 2 playthroughs and 40 hours. I started with an assisted run where I combined the no healing, pistols and knives only, not speaking to the merchant and no item boxes achievements. Even on assisted this proved quite difficult near the end of the game as your health only recovers to a point and you're limited to using non-upgraded pistols and knives.

After that I cleared mercenary mode to get access to the handcannon and jumped into my S+ Professional run, with the idea being I’d get S+ and all the difficulty trophies would stack. Now, while on this run I could heal, upgrade weapons and use the item box, S+ professional requires the game be completed in 5hrs 30mins of playtime with no more than 15 saves. In addition, as I was aiming to platinum in two runs, this meant obtaining all collectibles and doing all the merchant side quests as well.

While difficult, the hardest part was keeping to time, and it came down to the wire with only 14 mins and no saves to spare.

A big shoutout to the GOAT of guides Optinoob for helping me through the run!

Overall, I thought this game was brilliant, but after 40 hours I’m ready for a change of pace, so I’ve moved onto the much more relaxing RE 7. I’ll be sure to come back and play the DLC though once I’ve had a bit of a break!

[The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt] It was amazing in 2015, it was even better 11 years later #18

Had to re-post because I messed up the title lol
(Also fuck the Master Marksman trophy)

[God of War: Sons of Sparta] #187 - a decent enough metroidvania. I enjoyed it because I love the genre, but it doesn't feel like a God of War game at all. An odd choice from Santa Monica.

[AC Valhalla] Took a 3 year break, but finally completed the journey

After a solid break from the slog, I have finally completed Eivor’s journey. Let DLC begin!

[Watch Dogs]- #248 It’s better than I remember it being

I remember when it came out people were very disappointed with it, I just remember it being solid when I first played it years ago.

This time around, I liked it more. I like the story, I like Aiden Pearce, I like the simple action and hacking gameplay, I even liked the multiplayer.

Overall, I just liked the game. 7/10

[Unicorn Overlord] #658-9. VanillaWare never disappoints. Felt like Fire Emblem. Got it done 5 hours before PS+ removal.

80is hours (10 or just leaving it on).

Can be done in 30 hours.

[Genshin Impact] Platinum + 100%

By far my longest Platinum in terms of playtime. Started playing on release but stopped playing around the two year anniversary. Began playing again around November.

Huge game with a lot of content and chests are really grinding. The Platinum by itself isn't very long especially if you know what characters you want to build. The 100% on the other hand requires almost full exploration and most side content completed.

In terms of collectibles, I always see people complain about a few hundred in some games but this game currently has about 3600 chests to find so its a pretty long hunt.

Sadly since its live service it will keep getting more trophies that I'll have to grab but I do enjoy the game.
