[Pragmata]-#234 It’s my 2026 Game of the Year.

This was a game I was always keeping my eye on for a while. When the time came and I played it, I loved it pretty much the whole way through.

It’s a simple and straightforward story that’s told and executed very well. It just made me care and has achieved the rare feat of making me cry. Hugh and Diana just play off of each other so well and pretty much every time they interacted, it put a smile on my face. It’s also nice that Hugh isn’t a sad, depressed, angry, “I hate kids” type of character.

The gameplay is really fun for me as well. Trying to maintain the balance of using weapons and hacking was actually a lot more fun than I thought it would be. It helps when accompanied by a good variety of enemy design and good level design.

It’s my GOTY right now and I don’t think any other game this year is gonna overtake that. 9/10

[Hades II ]-#223 Love the game, but the narrative and writing is strange at times

I was foaming at the mouth waiting for the sequel to come to PlayStation. And now that it did, it’s a fantastic game.

Gameplay wise, it nudges out the first game in just about every way. With combat, enemy design, level design, and boss fights, the game excels.

Story wise, it was very good for a while, but after reaching the climax of the main plot, I think SuperGiant Games just kind of got lost in what they were doing.

It just felt like they didn’t set up well enough the payoff they were going. And the payoff kinda weakly does the justification of playing more runs afterwards. Also doesn’t help that I found the Epilogue story kinda dull.

And lastly I think Zagreus from the first game is just a much better protagonist compared to Melinoe.

But despite all those complaints. This game is still amazing as all hell and I would still absolutely recommend it. 8.5/10

2nd time going through and getting this plat since the sequel came out for consoles a bit ago, and man I forgot how RNG heavy the later half of this platinum is.

A lot of that is just hoping and praying a certain character shows up and even more praying that they’ll say the dialogue you need them to say. But that’s the grievances of a trophy hunter.

This is still one of my favorite games of all time. Fun and compelling story, amazing art direction, fantastic music, and a great gameplay loop that I love. Here’s hoping the sequel is just as good or better. 10/10

I was in the mood for a really bad game to play and platinum, I found this to be the perfect pick

This game has it all. Awful gameplay, an adapted story with no effort put into it, straight up cuts out several characters important to the plot, choices that “Change Destiny” but does nothing really, buggy as hell, looks terrible, voice acting that didn’t even try.

A game this terrible, yet I don’t hate it. I love how bad it is. It is objectively the worst game I’ve ever played, and I still hate Assassin’s Creed Unity and Resident Evil Code Veronica more. 3/10

Honestly, the game was a pleasant experience overall. It had a pretty solid story that did both the OG set of characters justice and did pretty well with the new characters added. Plays exactly like the trilogy, just on a handheld and I would honestly say it’s better than the first game. 7/10
