My son and I are recognized Italian Citizens with Passports in hand. Based on the dates involved we should be citizens by birth and not by benefit of law, but I'd love to know if there's any way to find this out for certain. Here's our relevant info:

• September 2022 - Appointment in Chicago (mail-in)
• February 2025 - Consulate informed me via email that they approved my application in April 2024 and submitted to Comune but have not heard a reply from them
• April 9, 2025 - My son and I received our passaporti
• May 2025 - Received official letter from Comune stating we have been recorded in AIRE.

The AIRE letter from the Comune says:
"L'Ufficiale d'Anagrafe comunica che in data 27/05/2025 questo ufficio ha provveduto all'iscrizione in AIRE per Nascita con decorrenza dal 15/05/2025"

I realize it says "...in AIRE per Nascita..." - is that official proof that we are citizens by birth then? Or do I need to consult some other source?
