Is your trailer flammable?
After looking at builds here and on youtube it seems xps foam board insulation is incredibly popular, and for good reason, it's light, high r-value, and easy to work with. However, in comparing different types of insulation I've noticed that xps and eps are consistently considered combustible. Is this a risk that's simply being ignored, is it less severe than I'm making it out to be, or are there adequate methods to mitigate this risk that I'm unaware of?
Mineral wool is fire resistant, but heavy, low r-value, and expensive. Fibreglass is also fire resistant but has abysmal insulation value. Closed cell sprayfoam has good r-value and is listed as fire resistant, however it seems quite expensive and less convenient for the DIYer. I'd like to hear all y'all's opinions and experiences on insulation
