So I have a 2005 350z I'm under the impression its a DE. i just did the valve covers and gaskets. Now ever since its been back together (about 2 weeks) every time i go above like 5000 rpm (only when its under load, it wont do it just revving) it blows a large amount of white smoke out of the passenger side of the car. I looked at the underside and under the hood, the smoke is coming from the back side of the engine somewhere and burning off of the manifold and catalytic converter on the passenger side only. However when i look around the edges of the valve cover it all appears to be completely dry of oil. I think its been long enough that i can rule out residual oil on the manifold and exhaust especially because it is consuming oil. The other day i replaced the VVT solenoid gaskets because i heard sometimes people don't change those and it continues to leak but it appears to still be leaking. the oil is collecting on the top of the transmission bellhousing and at the seem of the block and the head, also on the manifold and the cat, and on the wires and coolant hoses around the back of the engine, but for the most part anywhere on the rear of the engine that i can think of that would be leaking in that exact spot don't appear to be leaking. I also keep seeing rear main but that wouldn't be exclusive to one side would it? Can anyone please tell me what this might be, what i should change or what i should check? this would be much appreciated because i am stumped.
