I’m attempting to modify this single motor 6v Silverado to a 4 motor 12v (all wheel drive). So far I’ve replaced the single 6v with two 550 12v motors in the rear. I’m using a Dewalt 20v 12ah battery stepped down to 12v. It became pretty torquey so I added 12v 250w motor controller with a variable throttle pedal. Now it can be driven slow over obstacles or full speed on flat ground. Next I built brackets to hold 550 motors to the front spindles. The motor spaces the wheels out about 2” so I used a 10mm inside diameter / 12mm outside diameter stainless steel tube over the spindle for the wheel to slide over. Im waiting for the 13” pneumatic wheels to arrive. Here’s my question, if the 550 motors are each 45watts, will the 250watt motor controller and 12ah battery be able to handle 4 motors. BTW I upgraded all wiring to 12awg wire.
