I would really like to hear from anyone who has both Chiari malformation type 1, and a condition such as/similar to POTS, Orthostatic hypotension, or dysautonomia etc, and who have had the decompression surgery.
I have tachycardia and orthostatic hypotension (amongst other things), but the OH is perhaps one of my most annoying conditions. It's mild (in that I don't faint completely), but it is unpredictable and very bothersome. I am in the run up to my decompression surgery.
Has anyone who has had the decompression surgery had any improvement in their OH/POTS/Dysautonomia symptoms? Mostly the dizziness involved in the conditions?
Any other surprise benefits that you've had but didn't expect? Or any worsening issues after the operation?
Thank you if you've made it this far.
Signed, a pretty nervous frog!
