I just bought these dungarees a few months ago and it was right after they were discontinued in the shop I bought them from.

I haven’t worn them yet and when taking them off the hanger today I noticed this on one of the clasps where the straps hook in.

I really love these and wouldn’t want them to be ruined before even getting to wear them at least once.

What are some recommendations on how to fix this?

Preferably without making it worse
