Butterfly Chair

I love this butterfly chair cover I've had for 16 years. When it started tearing a couple years ago, I bought some replacements, but none of the replacements are the right shape. So I had it mended by a tailor and that held up for a while. Now it's tearing again. Any advice? I could try mending this by hand, or ask a tailor for a specific technique. Might need patches. TIA!

How to fix a lost zipper

This dress had a tiny little zipper on it that was prone to coming off; I’ve reattached it before but now I’ve lost the slider. It was a weird little thing, with the openings for the fabric on the top of the zipper instead of the sides like normal. What’s the best way to fix this? A brief perusal of the internet didn’t find me the same type of zipper slider, but maybe I just looked in the wrong places and someone knows better places to look. Maybe there’s an alternative closure mechanism I should look into?

Could this tear be repairable?

Buying this jacket used, could the rip on the nylon above the pocket be repaired?

How to mend old shift (underdress)?

Hey there, I'm new to reddit, please tell me if I'm doing something wrong. I have bought an old shift recently, I can't pinpoint how old it is, at least 50 to maybe 100 years. It's defiantly sewn by a machine, out of a 100%, nearly see-through cotton and the buttons are out of mother-of-pearl.

There were some holes under the arme, with I tried to fix with my sewing machine (red) but there are new ones and the sewed ones are slowly tearing the fabric apart I fear.

I would love to keep wearing it but I don't know what to do, to not make it worse over time?

Crossposting this in r/mending and r/VintageClothing hope that's alright

Thanks for reading

Need help for snap/button off pants

Top snap - the bottom part is attached to top part. I’m having a hard time separating, afraid to crack it. But once off how does it go onto pants? I don’t see a hole on the bottom. Anyone have experience with this kind of fastener? The material of the pants is Nylon and Polyester. Thank you!

Oh there’s supposed to be a holder snap inside the waistband. Darn.

T shirt coloring

I have a Superdry t shirt like a couple of years old. Dark green, like military colored. It already has discoloration in the stomach area and near the sleaves. It also has that superdry print that might be a problem, but can I re-color it? At my dry cleaners, colouring person is on vacation but the lady working there said the discoloration will remain, which I kinda doubt since I had some other shirts done in the past and they were ok, but yeah the print might be destroyed.

At some other shop they said I should do it myself with colors from DM or Muller. I want it to be at least somewhat stable, and not wash off after 2 washings. Any advice? Like what is the best quality brand or type to use at home, or should I try another dry

Goes without saying that I really like that shirt.

Can these be saved?

Can my boyfriend’s jeans be saved based on the location of this rip? It’s right on the seam under the zipper, but I’m not sure if I could sew a patch to the bulky seam/if that would look good?? Any and all recommendations are appreciated!

at all possible to repair belt?

This belt is older than I am, was my moms. Just snapped the other day… It’s leather, calvin klein jeans brand. It’s such high quality I’m so upset it broke if I can extend its life a little that’d be preferred over getting a new one that I know just won’t be as good.
Any ideas for how to repair/mend this? Thanks!
