Loquat on oats for breakfast this morning

I had NEVER eaten a loquat before today - I ate one straight from the box, with the skin on, and was really alarmed by the “giant pips” 😳 but they slice up nice on my porridge / oatmeal thank you!
Organic and in my veg box delivery last Friday from sutton community farm 🌿

Birkenstocks are back from the cobblers!

I sent both of these pairs off to the boot repair company and it’s like I’ve had new Birkenstocks returned to me in place of the scruffy dangerous broken soles! Really pleased with these - just need for it to stop with the hail stones so that I can wear them again :)

The National Trust - Morden Hall Park, South London

What’s your favourite National Trust park?
And
Where is everybody? Bit colder today so nobody about in the park, or wetlands - there were a couple of people painting, by the famous Morden Hall Park bridge, but not many other folk about today!

Big walk today - Lea Valley walk section 3 Tottenham / Walthamstow

Such a good day - a different walk for me, followed the Lea Valley walk section 3 Tottenham / Walthamstow in reverse - search for it on the Go Jauntly app if you want to find it / amazing food at Pulse & Pickle, art exhibition, wild flowers, graffiti and lovely canal jaunt, even saw a cricket game - London is very villagey :) 12,597 steps!

Any of you lovely folk in Bristol fancy joining in to celebrate the launch of Bristol’s new orbital walking route at this Go Jauntly event next Friday 15th May, 11am - 12.30pm.

Should be a lovely walk through Ashton Court, over the suspension bridge and on to the observatory.

The more the merrier!

Went for a walk, along the canal, inspired by the mental health charity Mind over Mountains, to walk in May and June as part of their Everyday Mountains challenge with Go Jauntly urban walking app.

Sometimes you just need a sweet treat after an early morning London jaunt. This cafe has the most amazing homemade goodies, it’s called Milk No Milk, which is actually spot on for this random breakfast order :-)

It’s 1976 all over again! I took this photo today (2026)

, when I was out on a walk.

Sometimes it feels very villagey in London - Scouts’ Jumble Sale poster beside the tram tracks. And only a £1 to get in, and it’s in the Parish Hall - love it 🤭

New headphones helped me get out without my own thoughts driving me mad today 🤭 so I’m back on track - only 9086 steps but pleased with myself to get walking :)

I’m teaching this repair method on Saturday, so I’ve been practicing today (I’ve never taught this before - sssssshhh) between client work, I’ve finally cracked it, and can do them quite quickly now but does anyone else get bored as easily as me?! This jumper is SO holey 😳
