Tips for breaking in leather gloves?

I recently bought these split cowhide leather gloves. I primarily bought these to work with theatrical halogen lights, so I can’t use my usual method of leather conditioner or mink oil. I also don’t have the time right now to use them constantly to break them in. Does anyone have any other recommendations?

Sprayed waterproofing spray too close to the shoe

It it ruined? How do I fix this? I have put cream on my shoes, polished them with horsehair brush and like 10 minutes later I tried spraying them with waterproofing spray. I know I shouldn’t have done that at all, but I did. I think I might have sprayed too close, because it looks as if the spray melted the wax layer off of the shoe.

What should I do now? These are monks bought in Kazar, supposedly good leather.

Is this real?

Seller said it was a vintage Schott jacket, the price was super low so I pulled the trigger but I’d really like to know if it’s genuine. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Thoughts? Old SNOW-PROOF

I found this at a thrift store and bought it out of reflex. It has material in it and I wonder if it’s still good to use. I just left the container in the sun, so the material is liquid. When solid it has a beige waxy consistency. It still smells like leather conditioning material. Maybe petroleum base. Maybe lanolin?

My trip to Wicket and Craig

I just took some random pictures. The third one is glazing (I think that's the proper term), the one harness side I bought. They just started the July shutdown, so a lot of stuff wasn't running, like the tanning vats were empty.

Handmade leather table set with custom monograms // DIY TUTORIAL

Hi everyone!

I made my sister a full leather table set as a wedding gift over the past few weeks and wanted to share the process with you all!

The hardest part was making the round coasters as round as possible without a cookie cutter :')

Anyhow, hope you enjoy the video.

Happy crafting!

Water spilled in my bag and my leather pencil pouch got stiff and wrinkly. Is water damage salvageable?

ballpoint pen ink on leather removal

As the title suggests, any recommendations on the best way to remove these ball point pen marks from leather? It’s a brand new bag and the pens cap got loose inside. Marks are about a day old

Did I get smoked on this wallet?

Tried to give another leather worker a chance for a wallet I wanted, but this weather just feels shitty. This is considered genuine leather? I was promised full grain veg tanned leather.

Immediate Help- Large Water Stain West Elm Hamilton Couch

If any help can be provided, a couple days ago my water bottle accidentally spilled on my tan leather West Elm couch cushion (aniline leather in burnt sienna color). I soaked up the water as best I could that evening, and then followed recommendations online from leather sites. Thus after allowing the cushion to air dry 1.5 days , I then gently water feathered the entire cushion w/microfiber cloth as recommended, hoping it would blend the original water stain.

In the photo , the smaller water stain is the original , and the larger was created after water feathered entire cushion. Woke up today and am not understanding why a second ring formed after feathering the entire cushion yesterday. It only made things worse and now I have a 2 large stains and the second is even larger, just awful.

I have Leather Honey conditioner, but I am afraid to do anything further to the cushion as I worry the conditioning could keep the water stains permanently because the stain itself looks damaged .

Before reaching out to a professional, is there anything I can do to fix this at home? Greatly appreciate any help or advice. Thank you!

Vintage leather bomber jacket

Recently, I bought an old vintage leather jacket for a really low price, but I can not find any exact matches online. I do not know what company made the jacket, the year it was made, or even the country of origin. The jacket has no tags, but it does have YKK zippers and "Koper" buttons. I'm even unsure if this is even original.

If you have any information about the jacket, I would appreciate it.

All information found so far.
Made in the 1970s-1990s, uncommon design, smaller manufacturer, possible origins: Germany, Italy, or South Korea

Can anyone help me identify this leather?

Hello!

I began to get bags of random leather scraps to use for binding books. I was really lucky that in my first bag there was a large piece of leather that was shiny and fairly thin, with some elasticity to it. I have yet to find another bag that had anything close to this in any usable size, which means it's time to stop gambling with the scrap bags. I just have no idea what type of leather this is and therefore can't shop for it. Any assistance would be appreciated!

This first and second images is a remaining scrap from the leather. The third are two small scraps that were in another bag that have a similar finish. The fourth is to show the differences in thickness.

my belt is ripping

need advice on how to patch this up, it's quite an old belt I assume, I don't know exactly because I got it second hand

Should I be concerned?

It feels thinner than the rest too. Is this bag permanently damaged?

Is this leather FUGAZI?

First, let me say sorry if this isn’t the place to post this. If it is, some help would be appreciated!

I bought this bag from an online store that had a lot of great reviews and a handful of bad ones. It came, smelled like leather, and held up well for a month or two. I thought I was good to go.

After a trip where the buckle rubbed up against the corner of the bag a bunch, these marks showed up.

I’ve never really owned leather before, so I have no idea what I’m looking at here, but a quick google search made me think these marks indicate this bag is not legit at all. Does anyone have any thoughts? Do you need more pictures or info? If you can, please let me know if I got fleeced!

How to get crease from shipping out of jacket sleeve?

Hi! I ordered this jacket and it came folded in a shipping box with this crease. The leather itself doesn’t have any mark on it, like if I manually hold it flat the leather looks perfect.

Is there any way I could get this crease out without damaging the leather? On google I read suggestions like using a steamer or iron with a leather conditioner and a barrier

Thanks for any advice!

Beautiful leather boots with mould.

Hi friends

I rescued these being thrown out — the brand is a famous Australian boot maker and I want to restore them for my wife. She works with horses so it’s function as much as style.

Where would you start?
What needs doing?
Can I “add” grip to the soles somehow, or does it not matter?

Thanks 🙏

How do I clean the insides of leather gloves

I bought a pair of leather gloves from a second hand sale. They look clean but before using I want to wash them just in case. The label inside says the Lining is %100 Lana. Thanks in advance.
