Help with propping first Hoya cuttings

I’ve never propped a Hoya before and just picked up these cuttings: Mathilde and Bella

For the Bella, since it’s a long cutting, where should I cut along the vine and do I just cut the lower leaves off each cutting?

For the Mathilde, keep as one cutting and remove the bottom three leaves?

Thanks!

Where to cut if I wish to water-propagate my philodendron birkin?

wanted to prop because the bottom 5 leaves were very scraggly and had minimal variegation but the new growth looks good.

Am I obsessed with propagation? Maybe

Why am I always looking for anything to propagate when I know I'll inevitably become overwhelmed with how much I'm gonna have to pot up later? 🫠

Can I propagate these yuccas?

I got these for free off marketplace and am wondering if/how I can propagate them or grow them into new trees. Thanks!

Money plant

I cut this off of my mom's thriving money plant at least 3 weeks ago (possibly longer ago but not less). I took a smidge of the main stem with it as that's what research said. I have yet to see any growth. Is it looking ok? The leaf is slightly changed in color, lighter than it was. It is near a large, east facing window. Direct sunlight does not touch the actual plant, water change every week or week & a 1/2.

Will this propagate?

I had this Chinese Evergreen in the wrong soil (cactus mix), so I was repotting to a tropical mix with perlite, and in doing so, this snapped off 😭😭 I thought it was relatively happy (there’s some new growth at the top).

Can I just stick the bottom in water or soil for a root system to grow? Would you recommend water or straight to soil?

Thank you in advance!!!

Should I cut???

I have 3 Syngonium wendlandii that are rooting like crazy. Since I only have the three cuttings and would like a filler plant should I cut where I have marked on the photos? Or should I let it grow than prop more from the plant?

No roots in sight, but my cutting is growing a new leaf—is that normal?

I took this cutting around May 25. I still don’t see any roots, but it just started pushing out a new leaf. Is this a good sign, or can cuttings grow new leaves before they actually root? Has anyone else experienced this?

Root Powder+Water Prop

In an attempt to save my beautiful emerald peperomia, I decided to attempt propagating in a few ways. Somehow, the root powder and water propagation seems to be working the best?! Figured I’d share this little win and see if it has worked for anyone else before. This was truthfully the one I cared least about as it seemed to never work. I dumped a bunch of rooting powder into some clean water and placed it in sunlight. About a month later and the leaves are healthy+ rooting!

When should I repot into soil?

And ignore the terrible nails LOL

Devil’s Backbone (Euphorbia tithymaloides) cutting - should I pinch the top for branching?

Hi everyone,

I have this Devil’s Backbone cutting that I propagated in water. It has developed some nice roots now. I’ve got more 5 - 6 cuttings too.

My question:
Should I nip/pinch off the top section (the growing tip) to encourage branching? Will new side shoots grow if I do that?

I’m a beginner and want the plant to become bushier instead of tall and leggy. Any advice on when and where exactly to cut, and general care after potting would be really helpful!

Propping zz stem cutting with golden pothos cutting

I put a zz cutting in water and it sat for months doing nothing but living. Then read somewhere that pothos are known for helping water props so I cut a node from my mother pothos and a week later small roots appear this is it now. Obviously not a proper experiment but wanted to share.

Jap maple air layer ready?

It's been about 2 months and this is looking really promising! But we're entering the hot part of Oklahoma summer (I'm 3 hours north of Dallas) And the leaves are looking a bit wilted. I'm trying to keep it moist but not too moist. Used spagnum Moss with added antifungal and diatomaceous to keep it safe, so far so good.

Should I go ahead and cut & pot? Maybe inside the 75° house in a sunny window, or would it continue to root nicely outside in the shade?? This lumpy nodule looks like it wants to become roots! This tree is 14 years old and has done beautifully in this spot, so I haven't actually had to do any real work to keep my Japanese maple alive, so I'm definitely not an expert. Just wanted to make a cutting to give to my friend!

50% Success on Water Propagation

I am new to any of this. I have been water propagating some mophead hydrangea. I have 8 clippings going, and about 50% of them have roots 1"+ in size. The others don't have anything. Should I let the rest of them still sit in water, or are they just not going to succeed at this point?

Dracaena with new leaves but no roots?

Hey guys, I'm trying to propagate this Dracaena. It has now sprouted new leaves months in a waterglass, but no roots at all.

Should I keep it in water? Pot it?

Thank you for any pointers!

Is this right?

I’ve been trying to root this hibiscus for the last month but haven’t seen much progress. The little white spots are kinda brownish now, but there’s leaves growing on the stem now too? Am I doing this right or should I try something else? I’m using purified water in the jar, and the last pick was when I started last month.
