After 8 years, I finally repotted my Norfolk Island Pine and can’t stop looking at her

She used to be crooked and was planted on one side of the nursery pot. Surprisingly, the soil came off easily (not all of it) and I was able to center it and position it so it’s upright. It’s been neglected for far too long so I hope to see it get bigger now that I’m taking him seriously.

Regarding photo 5, should I attach him that one trunk that’s leaning to a stake so it grows upright?

Tons of Props!

I started the plant journey about 7 months ago. I’ve had many over the years but always killed everything. I was very neglectful. Late last summer, I fell in love with the succulent and cacti world and now have over 70 plants in my house - mostly succulents and cacti but I do have pothos, calathea, mini monstera, date palm, BOP, dracaena, fern, bromeliad, corn plant and a Norfolk Island pine. Then I discovered propagation and how easy it is. Just showing off my prop collection - all less than 5 months old.

Props, Props and more Props

I am an official plant lady. I have close to 70-80 plants in my house not including my props. Could be more. I lost count but about 25 of them are lithops, each in their own pot. Most are succulents and cacti but not all. I’ve run out of room but refuse to get rid of these. My watch chain is the easiest and fastest to prop so I give those away as gifts to friends. Everything else I keep.

All those tags with dates on them are dates when they were last watered. Once I incorporated that system, it’s been a breeze keeping track of what I need to water and which plants I have to check for signs of thirst. No more “did I just water this?”

I hope you enjoy the pics of my props.

Senecio stapeliiformis (pickle plant)

Just wanted to show off my plant. I am so in 😍 with her. I got her in January and this is her 2nd bloom. I accidentally knocked off the 1st bud before it bloomed. I was so mad at myself for reaching over her to close the shade. My shirt must have tapped it when I leaned in. I saw the little bulb just roll onto the floor. But patience has rewarded me not just with this 2nd bud but the bigger stalk is pushing out another flower just a few weeks after losing its first flower. I can’t wait for it to bloom.

My first VFT 5 months in

Xmas gift. Never had one. Didn’t know what to do. I finally got the nerve to take it out of its nursery pot in March and replanted it in appropriate soil and bigger pot. Turned out it was two plants, not one. I’m pretty thrilled with how she’s progressing. She sits in my west facing window directly under a Barrina puck grow light.
