Compare Tuft and Needle with?

Shopping for two twin XL mattresses and adjustable split king base.
What do you personally have and why do you love?
We have a king Tuft & Needle original from 2016 which we've loved, although it is getting too soft now.
So difficult to select/buy online.
Nectar?
Purple?
Saatva?

And the base? Ergomotion? Rize? Nectar?

We want firmness, comfort, flexibility and great support. Side sleepers.

Thanks

Adjustable split king base recommendations?

What brand is best? We plan to buy Tuft & Needle mattresses because we have had one for 10 years and love the feel and quality. They don't carry bases.
So we just need a good quality adjustable base. Zero gravity option, quiet, easy to view/use remote, maybe massage.
Thanks

Recommend rations for adjustable Split King

Which do you have and love?
We want fully adjustable (top/bottom) with separate twin mattresses.
I understand there's only a couple of manufacturers of the actual adjustable bases and they are sold under different names? Is it wise to buy separately then?
We have loved our Tuft & Needle mattress which is now 10 years old, but they don't do a split king adjustable.
Quietest motor?
Easy remote with phone app?
Fits inside standard bed frame?
In California.
Thanks

Sound Bar for Sony Bravia TV?

We just returned the Sony sound bar to Costco that we bought with our 77" Bravia 8 OLED 4K because it would not stay connected, requiring us to unplug and replug every single time.
It was Sony HT-SC40 2.1ch Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer.

We aren't big action film fans -- just want a bar with sound that is better than TV, and that will reliably turn on automatically when we power on the TV.
<$400

Thanks for any tips.

Shopping for Split King Adjustable bed

Looking online at Nectar and Tuft & Needle.
Does anyone have either of these brands in the split king adjustable? We have a 10yr old Tuft & Needle and have loved it but it's time to upgrade and we want adjustable base.
Which model do you have and why did you choose it/like it?
Any reason to buy an adjustable base from one company and mattresses from another?
What should we know about making this purchase that you wish you'd known?
We are in California.
Thanks

First 4 weeks at 1.25

(82F, SW:190, CW:188.5, GW:145, 5'7")
Can anyone relate? Should I continue?
Being my age and having a few medical issues, I was encouraged to start Tirz at half the normal starting dose, 1.25.
On Sunday I will increase to 2.5. I have lost 1.5 pounds ha ha ha. But it's been a struggle. The first week I got a UTI (I don't believe in coincidences), so I didn't get much exercise. The second week I had first session on machines at our gym and the day after came down with what appears to be a severe fibromyalgia flare for the first time in 20 years, leaving me hardly able to walk around much less exercise.
I am praying that the anti-inflammatory effects of Tirz will kick in when I increase this on Sunday. The risk is it will make me worse.
Part of me wonders if I should just give up on this. I am desperate to get exercise but feel so much pain

PCP refuses to order labs

I do not meet Kaiser's criteria for GLP-1. I am using a telehealth company and started with Tirzepatide injections. The doctor at the telehealth company says I should have certain labs after a month (metabolic panel, creatinine, kinase). My Kaiser PCP refuses to order saying they have nothing to do with it.
But my Medicare covers these labs and the only way I can have them with coverage is if Kaiser orders. What are my rights here ?
My daughter is a Kaiser patient in a different city in Northern California and is also using Tirzepatide from
Telehealth -- her PCP orders the labs she needs
Thanks

Anyone take Tizanidine?

My PCP just prescribed this. I asked for something to help with inflammation and pain due to fibro flair.
I am having first fibro flare in 20 years.
My Medicare provider is Kaiser Senior Advantage, so seeing a reumatologost is impossible and I am not confident in PCP
Thanks

How are you treating a flare?

I'm having first flare in 20 years. I thought my original diagnosis was a mistake. Pain started a week ago. I guess I do have this. I think it was stress induced.

I am a very young 82 year-old female. My legs feel like they are burning and everything is stiff, achy, and I feel so tired.

Not a fan of long-term medications but prefer to use something PRN. Tylenol or ibuprofen are not cutting it.
What do you take?
Thanks

Senior Advantage and funds from Medicare

Kaiser I believe receives certain amounts per month for each Medicare patient. Is that amount increased according to the specific patient's diagnoses? Is it only diagnoses within a certain period of time? And only diagnoses that Kaiser has treated the patient for?

Or, how does it work?

Trying to decide what to do

3rd shot was Sunday. 1.25mg. Developed a really really bad fibromyalgia flare which I haven't had in 20 years. Feel like a steam roller has run over me.
I either stop Tirz permanently, or skip next dose, or keep going and do injection on Sunday.
Asked BigEasy and haven't had useful response (just a reply from RN asking a few questions which I responded to. )
If I skip Sunday and feel okay that week, would I be able to start over?
My PCP is not involved and was very negative when I first approached her about using GLP-1. I don't have the kind of Medicare plan that allows me to see anyone I wish (Kaiser Sr Advantage where PCP's main objective is to never refer to specialist or cost Kaiser money).
Yes I am drinking lots of water, eating high protein, and taking Mag07 and eating prunes to avoid constipation.

Any similar experience or thoughts?
Thanks

Any connection to GLP-1?

I was first diagnosed with Fibro in 2001. I think it was triggered by being in a very stressful situation. I also had lymphoma at the time but it was indolent and not requiring treatment. Then no more fibro symptoms after about 2002.

Until now. I'm having a horrible flare three weeks after starting Tirzepatide injections. Cannot be a coincidence? I'm also in a lot of stress about a situation but I don't think that was enough to be the cause. I also may have lymphoma again. Maybe that is the connection?

I need to decide whether to continue these injections in hopes this dies away and that I then gain the supposed anti-inflammatory benefits of it -- or if I should stop.

Thoughts/experiences appreciated

Are my symptoms exacerbated by Tirz?

Since Saturday I have had severe pain and stiffness in my limbs and joints.
I used the machines at our gym on Friday for first time but not for that long. Figured this was the cause when I woke up Sat am needing a cane.
My legs have gotten a little better but now it is my arms and hands. Like it is creeping up my body. Woke up this am with my right arm all twisted and fingers will hardly move. And my normally stiff/sore neck is in triple pain.
My third injection of 1.25 Tirz was Sunday night.
Very worried.
I doubt the BEWL Dr would say anything other than to go to my PCP. My PCP will roll her eyes and just blame everything on Tirz because she doesn't approve.
Any ideas?

Breakfast -- what is your routine?

I am beginning week three and tired of protein smoothies for breakfast. Pretty fed up with what it takes to have 30gr protein at each meal actually. Feels like I am eating more on Tirz than before.

Have been making a smoothie every morning with Levels Whey protein, Greek yogurt, flax meal, frozen strawberries and blueberries. I just want a boiled egg instead. And I hate cottage cheese and Greek yogurt if not disguised in a smoothie

Edited to add: I avoid as much "processing" as possible, preferring whole fat dairy products, organic everything I can, free range eggs, grass fed beef etc, no additives or artificial colors/flavors/sweeteners.

I haven't been a big eater in recent years, so the protein thing is a challenge. What causes my yo-yo weight gains is hypothyroidism and loving home baking and chocolate biscuits with my tea (I'm Scottish), and wine every night. I would usually go on low carb diet, lose 20lbs, then gain it back a year later. Been doing this for decades.

Feeling weary. To top it off, I can hardly walk this week after my first time at the gym on Friday using the machines a trainer set up for me. My legs feel crippled.

Best Mysteries available in Libby or Kindle Unlimited?

I prefer British authors and am always looking for a good mystery series. I've bailed on a couple recently so I thought I'd ask here for recommendations.
Not cozy mysteries although I love Rhys Bowen, but not real dark either.
What I like best about Bowen is her tempo and pace -- moves along without sidetracking .

I realize Libby depends on your library.
Basically I don't like paying for books ☺️

BritBox not entirely compatible with Sony Bravia

Is there anyone here with a Sony Bravia 8 OLED Series 4K Smart TV who's been able to use the forward/backward while streaming without having to go down to the little double to arrows to right and left of the blue pause on the screen? Convoluted. Works fine with all our other streaming services but not BritBox.
Just spent ages on BritBox chat re this and they ended up saying this is the only way it works. It works fine for acorn, Netflix, Prime, and PBS. Is this a British technology thing?
When we used a Roku box it worked fine but we ended up switching to our new smarter TV app when we upgraded to BritBox Premiere and could only get sound and a black picture (they were not able to fix)🙄
Just wondering if any techies here have any other insight
Thanks
