Goal

Starting weight 250 pounds
Current 118

This has been a very up and down journey.

My first try with the medication I used it as a “cure all” and rushed to the max dose. Once I stopped taking it I gained almost 75% of the weight back.

My second time I was mindful of my food intake and light exercise like walking. I’m confident in the long term success and want people to know it’s ok to have slip ups and you will make it to your goal :) don’t give up.

Thank you everyone for the kind words!! I can’t wait to see your success posts!!
To answer some questions
I’m 5’7
I only have loose skin in my stomach area which I buy shaper shorts from shapermint
I use pomegranate health
And this journey took 1 year and 3 months

Finally at goal! Almost 50lbs gone

Made it to my goal! From 185 to 138 & now just continuing with strength training 4 days a week and cardio twice a week and starting to see actual muscles! Tirz has legit saved my life. No more back and knee pain, got my confidence back, I can run around with my kid, I’m not always tired. Keep going everyone and get in that gym!

Ozempic Is Numbing More Than Your Appetite 😳

What are your thoughts on this perspective? As a newer user, my dose is relatively low, but anhedonia is a concern for me. I do feel a little bit dull emotionally, But the benefits of losing weight and feeling better about myself seem to outweigh this. IDK.

July 1st - August 15th difference

I bought these jeans in 2024 & finally in 2026 they fit! I was honestly not seeing a difference until I put these jeans back on. I started my journey at 291 lbs & now I’m at 263 lbs & my weight was 275 on July 1st & then went down to 265 on the 15th of this month.

Not at my goal yet but I’m so glad that it’s working!!

At the very beginning, the jeans weren’t able to pass my thighs. In the first picture was the first time I was able to button them!

Compound Newbie, PreventiveMD Boudreaux’s. Here’s how it went…

Hey guys, so I’m transitioning off of Zepbound (started December of 2024, lost 76 pounds, currently only 13pounds away from my goal weight of 140) and thought I’d share my experience with preventive MD. So I signed the intake with preventive on 8/12. I received my approval the morning of 8/13. On 8/14 I received the email that my order was being prepared which was a Friday, so I knew I wouldn’t hear anything else until maybe the following Monday how ever they did check in with me that Saturday with a courtesy message stating orders are usually filled the following week. Monday 8/17 they sent me another follow up message stating my order was still being prepared. Tuesday 8/18 around 5:45pm I received an email stating my order was shipping. Today 8/19 I received my order around 3:45 pm. The ice packs were still cold but melted and my medication was still very cold !! I won’t be using the needles as I have my own. So excited to be giving compound a try after spending 449 a month since last summer because of a job change which changed my insurance. I’ve ordered 3 months worth of 12.5 dose and paid 334.00. Hopefully I do good on compound. I’ve seen a lot of great reviews about Boudreaux’s. Excited to give them a try. I know it probably wasn’t smart to order 3 months without trying them first but I got too excited about the price lol.

Just need some insight.

I have been overweight my whole life.

I started the medication 3 weeks ago because I was mentally exhausted trying to lose weight and failing time and time again.

My problem is that I feel nothing, literally nothing. I’m still starving all the time, overeating, binging at night - all the things that kept me at 30% bodyfat.

My insurance won’t cover the meds so I have to pay out of pocket and it’s a lot of money for me. I see other people have great success at 2.5 so I’m confused.

Is my experience normal or am I just destined to be fat. If it matter my meds come from Hallandale.

450-169 (2019 vs 2026)

Where do I begin? About a month ago I started to notice that I had some lines that are almost abs. I’ve never in my entire life, had anything even remotely similarly close to abs. I had someone at a family gathering say “[my name] isn’t even a big or strong man” and it really took me by surprise. I now know people in my life who never knew me when I was at my heaviest. The strangest thing, how the world treats you when you’re thin. I wouldn’t say that I am treated tremendously different, but people stop commenting on my Eatin when I’m eating around them. They no longer say “should you really be having that?”, or “I see you really enjoy those [insert sugary sweet we are all eating]”. I don’t get weird comments from partners families about suggested ways to lose weight. I wish more people kept thoughts like that to themselves. I’m still the same human, I just look different now!

Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye

2.5 mg, you were bigger than the whole sky. This dose has lasted me since starting last November, but with an almost two month stall and going into psychosis fighting the urge to go buy a 24 ct ferrero rocher box, or two, it’s time to move on up!!

You were the wind beneath my wings, humble 2.5 mg. I’ll never forget you.

the mental clarity is the best part

started compounded tirz about 2 months ago. was expecting weight loss (down 12lbs so far, cool) but nobody told me about the mental clarity.

like i used to have this fog that i thought was just normal. hard to focus, constantly tired, needing coffee just to function. within like a week of starting, that just lifted? im getting through work way faster, not needing my afternoon coffee anymore. feels like i was running on 70% before and now it's 100.

no idea if it's the appetite suppression meaning less blood sugar swings or something else. but it's noticeable.

anyway just curious if other people experienced this. feels like a side effect nobody warned me about

The Hottake…

If you can.. get active y’all.

I promise, I understand the excuses we give ourselves.

I’m too tired. I don’t feel good. Bad day. No time.

Take your pick of excuse. I’ve been there. I used to have horrible knee, shoulder, and feet pain. Purely from being too heavy for my frame. It prevented me from doing anything. But you have to simply start.

Pain. Pain is the thing we try to never experience in life and our bodies. We don’t want pains of hunger. Pains of body.

Pain is temporary. Pain lessens as you build your strength.

GLP1s are amazing. But they are not liquid accountability.

They also will cause you to lose muscle mass from reduced caloric intake. So it’s really important to do heavy lifts and resistance training. GIVE YOUR MUSCLES A REASON TO EXIST.

There is always something you can do! You don’t need a gym. You don’t need to do anything other than SOMETHING.

It’s small consistent steps with big results. You got this. You reading… YOU got this.

Doubled my dose and threw up :(

I’m following the plan given to me by the doc which was 1.5mg for 2 weeks, then 3mg for 2 weeks and yesterday I did my week 5 shot at 6mg (I was slightly concerned about jumping up so much) and since then I’ve felt so nauseous and have barely eaten. I got home from work and threw up the handful of ruffles I ate when I got back.

Does this sound normal? I feel better since throwing up but I’m concerned about feeling like this going forward, the weight loss has been going so well but I can’t deal with feeling nauseous all the time.

Going to start today

So far, I've been really happy with BEWT. I had my consultation on Sunday morning. I recently had bloodwork done, so I sent that to the doctor that day. She did say the prescription would most likely come from Apothecary or Halldale, but I'm getting it today from QuakerRx. FedEx created the label this morning and it's coming this afternoon - less than 3 days from my initial consultation. I'm nervous and excited, so here we go. Anything I should prepare myself for?

Therapeutic dose

I see so many people talking about therapeutic dose with Tirzepatide and I'm not certain what that means. I've been on 2.5 mg for 8 weeks. I still have no food noise, no cravings, can eat but don't overeat and my pain from severe degenerative disc disease is gone. I split my dose between Tuesday and Friday and no longer get queasy. I'm losing weight, slowly but steadily and was down 13 pounds a few days ago. Yet, I've seen some people say the dose isn't therapeutic. If it's working for me, why should I increase it?

Nausea help!

I’ve been on tirzepatide for two months, and I started the first month at 2.5mg and I did well after the first two weeks, had a good gym routine and started eating better immediately. When I upped my dosage to 5mg I did have issues in the beginning where I would vomit every morning for the first few days and was losing energy. It went away after the second week but these dose increases are actually unbearable and I don’t know what to do. I just increased to 7.5mg 5 days ago and I didn’t feel too bad the first couple days but now I can’t eat anything. If I drink water I have acid reflux and I will vomit and have stomach issues especially if I eat after 6pm I usually wake up vomiting and the past couple days I’ve started to eat in the morning to at least have something and then I wake up with hunger pains and still nauseous and just gag when I wake up. I know this is temporary but it’s so frustrating. I’ve tried everything, zofran, pepto, and Dramamine and I still end up throwing up. I’m getting to the point where I just don’t want to eat anything but I do and it’s just a cycle. I also started feeling dizzy since yesterday when I wake up or stand up too fast. I reached out to my provider to see about lowering my dosage as I don’t want to quit the medication as I’ve gotten great results. I’ve already lost 25lbs and that’s halfway to my goal. I also just don’t know if there are other ways to keep the nausea down? I know this is a lot, but anything will help. I know I need to give it time but I don’t want to just not eat.

Looking for support for restarting

I was microdosing for three months and lost 15 pounds. I stopped because the hair loss scared me and I have since maintained my weight loss, but I really liked the way I felt on tirz and decided to go back on (I bought a beautiful wig lol!). I do have some more weight to lose, and while maintaining my 15 lb weight loss was not a big deal, there’s no way I could lose more weight without the tirz. I did four weeks at 0.5mg, four weeks at 1mg, and pretty much three or four weeks at 1.5mg then stopped. Now back on 1.5mg, I had a great first week, but the second and third week I felt absolutely nothing. No control over my appetite and cravings. My weight has not changed. I’m headed into my fourth week of 1.5mg knowing it’s not going to do anything. I plan to bump up to 4mg for week 5 (that’s a 2.5 mg increase just like 2.5 to 5mg is). Lavender Sky Health has me doing 2mg to 4mg but I went to 1.5mg first because that’s where I started, but I’m ready for 4mg. I am fearful that even 4mg won’t do anything, as I’ve read that restarting causes you to sort of become immune to the peptide (not sure how this works, I’m not a doctor).

Anyways, just wanted to see if there was anyone out there who could share some encouraging words about life after a restart. I feel like going off the med messed everything up and I lost my chance to get to my goal weight.
