Therapeutic dose

I see so many people talking about therapeutic dose with Tirzepatide and I'm not certain what that means. I've been on 2.5 mg for 8 weeks. I still have no food noise, no cravings, can eat but don't overeat and my pain from severe degenerative disc disease is gone. I split my dose between Tuesday and Friday and no longer get queasy. I'm losing weight, slowly but steadily and was down 13 pounds a few days ago. Yet, I've seen some people say the dose isn't therapeutic. If it's working for me, why should I increase it?

Some days no desire to eat anything

This is one of those days. I had to force a slice of Dave's bread this morning and for lunch I had to make myself eat some high protein ramen. It's almost 2 pm and I've had just over 400 calories. I feel weak, but I did manage to do about 1/2 mile fast walk and some chores. At my husband's insistence, I'm slowly eating some high protein granola and yogurt.

I seem to be having more of these days. Does anyone else experience this where nothing is appealing and the thought of some foods you like make you want to gag? How do you overcome it?

I just noticed tonight that the underarm side fat is almost gone!

That area has always been one of my least favorite spots for chub. The fact that my arms stuck out a bit because of it just always made me feel really large. I looked in the mirror tonight and it's almost gone. My arms fit flat against my body! I've only lost about 12 pounds so far, but I'm noticing a lot of changes. This is my favorite.

Just wondering

I'm an old lady, so please be patient. In so many bridal posts, I see the bride referring to her wedding party as "girls". Is this a newish thing, because I'm pretty certain we didn't do that back in the day. I'm not a feminist is the least, but for some reason, I find it annoying to see a bride refer to "my girls". 😖🤣 I don't mean to offend, but why?

Beginner's mistake

I initially purchased a 1 month supply of Tirzepatide from a company and then found a less expensive source and purchased 3 months. My first 4 doses were 2.5 mg at 50 units each.

I just assumed that the next pharmacy would be the same 50 units. NOPE. I felt so sick for almost 3 days because it turned out I had jumped up to almost 10 mg based on concentration. I thought maybe it was due to different company, different mixture, etc.. again nope.

Anyway, just took 2nd dose back at 2.5mg and hoping for low side effects and high efficacy.

Life lesson: don't assume and read directions.

Does anybody else get kind of nauseated after a few bites?

Not really nauseated, but just feeling like I really don't want this. But you know you need to eat more. I made grilled cheese for dinner with a few Sun Chips on the side. We'd had huge salads for lunch, so I didn't worry about beg. Anyway, my grilled cheese was soooo good. For the first 3 bites. Then I had to force myself to eat more. I ate just about half of it before giving it over to my husband. I know I need to eat more, especially protein, but it's hard. I've been on Tirzepatide for just over 4 weeks, 2.5 mg and I've lost 8 pounds.

I learned something today

I've been using Tirzepatide for a month now. I just took my 5th dose today. I've lost 7 pounds and have 35 to go. I feel good at 2.5 mg so far, but always have some queasiness a few hours after the shot and a bit off and on for the next 2 days. Not a big deal.

My husband commented today on the lack of pain in my back (advanced degenerative disc disease) and my hips (bursitis) and wondered if the meds could be helping those problems. I looked it up and found out that Tirzepatide reduces inflammation. So, yay!!!! I do see a chiropractor, but I'm down to once a week and I'm not constantly sitting on a heating pad anymore. So if this is a side benefit, I'm very thankful.

What some good lunchy/snacky things you like to eat?

I'm 3.5 weeks into Tirzepatide at 2.5mg and I've lost 7 pounds. A lot of foods I used to love simply aren't appealing right now. I do still enjoy granola with Greek yogurt and blueberries for breakfast, but eggs? Nope. For lunch, I've found that I'm enjoying a turkey and cheese roll up with crunchy iceberg lettuce in the middle. If I've run out to the store, I'll pick up a hot rotisserie chicken, grab a fork and dive into that breast meat. It's my new craving. I might eat some pistachios or a few grapes, but I don't have desire for much else. I've been having trouble reaching 1250 calories many days. I know I can get stuck if I don't eat enough. I fast walk 3-4 days a week, but I have serious arthritis in my back and some bursitis in my hips, so that's limited to maybe 5-6 miles per week.

Anyhoo, what are some other things I can try. Oh yeah, I don't like avocado.

Best way to travel with Tirzepatide

We'll be taking a few trips this fall and one of them will be a week in Jamaica. By the time we leave, I'll have been on meds for 6 months. I'm considering adjusting my shot day to align with this trip by slowly moving my shot day forward every couple of weeks. With the way luggage is handled, I'm concerned about packing it and having a vial broken. I'd like to take my doze 2 days before we leave which would make the dose on return 2 days late. I usually feel a little off on shot day and the day after and I want to feel good on vacation. Does this sound reasonable? TIA for any advice.

My first Moissanite

I wear a lab diamond as a wedding set, but decided I wanted to get a moissanite for travel. Since my wedding set is a 2 c oval with a 1/2 eternity, I wanted something different. I love Old European cuts, so I did a search and found a beautiful ring from Diamondrensu.com in India. I've always bought from American vendors before, but I decided to give it a try. I chose a 1.91 c round OEC, set in sterling. It has millgrain and some tiny sparklers all around. I've had moissanite earring in the past, but wasn't impressed with their sparkle. I guess they weren't cut well, because this ring is gorgeous. I took off my normal right hand ring and I'm wearing this beauty for a while.

Took this beauty out for a pro bath yesterday

She's rewarding me with lots of sparkles. I clean her several times a week, but nothing compares to a professional clean and polish.
