Doubled my dose and threw up :(

I’m following the plan given to me by the doc which was 1.5mg for 2 weeks, then 3mg for 2 weeks and yesterday I did my week 5 shot at 6mg (I was slightly concerned about jumping up so much) and since then I’ve felt so nauseous and have barely eaten. I got home from work and threw up the handful of ruffles I ate when I got back.

Does this sound normal? I feel better since throwing up but I’m concerned about feeling like this going forward, the weight loss has been going so well but I can’t deal with feeling nauseous all the time.

Let’s talk about nutrition

I’ve seen a lot of posts about increasing fiber, protein and increased hair shedding increase from lack of nutrients from GLP-1. Im pretty well versed in general nutrition but it feels like a lot of the information regarding nutrition and GLP-1 isn’t provided when prescribed.

I’ve noticed more shedding myself (I’m only on my 3rd dose so I’m probably being paranoid) and wanted to know what foods I should be eating and why. I understand fiber for constipation and water for diarrhea and so on but are these recommendations coming from a general standpoint of dieting or is there a reason why we need those nutrients when on a GLP-1?

I’m also seeing a lot of meal kits starting to target GLP-1 takers, I’m not sure if it’s just a marketing ploy and they’re taking advantage of the recent popularity of the drug or if there is actually any science behind it.

What was your first month like?

I have just started my journey, my first shot was about 3 days ago. I haven’t had any side effects or noticed any huge changes to my appetite just yet (food noise is still there but I’m not able to eat as much) and I wanted to hear people’s experiences with the first month.

I’m interested in knowing:
If you experienced side effects, when did they start?
When did you notice a big change in your appetite?
Is there anything you would do differently if you could go back to the start?
Is there anything I should be aware of that isn’t super common knowledge?

Goby meds

Hey everyone I was wondering if anyone has ordered from goby meds and how long fulfillment took for you? Mine has been stuck at the pharmacy for 4 working days now.

I’ve messaged customer service to get information about how long this should take but they are slow getting back to me.

I’d also love to hear any general feedback you have with them, this is my first time on a GLP-1, I’m excited to get started!

Edit: as I posted this I got a response from customer service, apparently fulfillment is delayed at the moment and taking between 7-8 business days

Feeling overwhelmed about starting

I’ve been seriously thinking about starting a semaglutide but there are so many options and plans and different meds. I want something safe a cost effective. I’m only looking to lose about 20lbs and currently weigh 175lbs (5’8”)

I’d love to hear your experiences/price/dose with different plans so I can make an imformed decision!
