Hi everyone,

I’m setting up a private office, approx. 6 × 3.1 m. The room is long and narrow, with the door on one short side and the window on the opposite short side.

I do mostly computer work, deep work and creative work, so I want to get the desk placement right before buying furniture.

I’ll attach photos and the floor plan. Where would you place the desk for the best setup, lighting, comfort and productivity? ( i manily want to feel good and spend long hours there since i´ll pay for the space)

I’m open to different layout ideas. The rest of the furniture is flexible.

Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I’m setting up a narrow private office, approx. 6 × 3.1 m. The door is on one short side and the window is on the opposite short side, so the room feels a bit like a corridor.

I do a lot of deep work, computer work and creative , so I mainly care about getting the desk position right. I want the office to feel calm, focused and productive, and I’d like to enjoy spending long hours there.

My main question is: where would you place the desk from a feng shui perspective? Should I have my back to a solid wall, the window to the side, or face the door more directly?

The rest of the furniture is flexible. I mostly want to get the desk placement right.

Thanks!
