While the problem is certainly not unique to this subreddit, the rise of vibe coding and the attendant flood of AI slop apps is negatively affecting this place. Thinly veiled posts advertising these apps do not contribute anything positive to this community.

While we're all probably a bit tired of the Cheez Its posts, I would much rather see those than another soulless ChatGPT written post advertising an allergy app that is more likely to do harm than good.

Businesses are welcome to use Reddit's advertising platform to promote their services.
