CHEAPER ALTERNATIVE TO SHIPPING INSURANCE

Hi everyone, I run a watch dealership, and because of the nature of our business, we ship a lot of expensive packages.

We recently noticed that our shipping coverage rate increased from $0.60 per $100 of declared value to $1.56 per $100.

Has anyone had experience renegotiating declared value rates with UPS, or using other shipping vendors or insurers with a reliable claims process for lost or damaged packages? I’m also open to hearing whether FedEx or another carrier offers better rates for high-value shipments.

Hope everyone is well!
