Disappearing friendship
I recently moved to another country and left some friends back at home. Before we also had problems with communicating and hanging out, because my friends didn’t want to hang out whenever it’s not convenient enough and I accepted that.
But now, communication got really hard and it kinda overlaped again with that inconvenience part.
Example: I asked my friend to call eachother on a videocall later that evening and they said that there is also one pending call, but doesn’t know when and that we’ll sort it out later.
So later on, I just sent a message asking if they have that call and if they are free, we can maybe call eachother.
I was left in awe when the person responded this:
“Well, no. I am free but now I am watching a movie on a TV and its not so convenient.” (making it clear that movie is important and they cannot replay it)
This made me upset because I have little time since I work really a lot, and we dont get many chances to have a videocall.
Can the communication be better? I suddenly also dont want communicate at all because of this, I lost my will for it.
