Flawed Greviance

Yesterday I had the outcome meeting regarding the Greviance I have raised in work. In the initial meeting, I handed over hard copies of evidence that supported my complaints. Overall the outcome was not what I hoped for and the manager in question who carried out the investigation found no wrongdoing and couldn't uphold anything, even though I had photos, text messages and witnesses. The manager didn't mention whether they'd spoken to said witnesses. It's as if they've only investigated the parts which didn't have really strong evidence to back up. I do have copies of my evidence but wanted to know whether or not I have any rights in asking for the evidence to be given back to me? Thanks.

Flawed Greviance Meeting

I work for a communication and media company, and recently raised several grievances that were serious. Yesterday I attended the outcome meeting, feeling somewhat positive as I gave a lot of strong evidence to back up my claims, including names of witnesses. Having had my complaints brushed under the carpet on many occasions with the management I work with, I thought this senior manager from another department would be unbiased.

The senior manager who held the outcome meeting started off by saying that how they've managed the grievances is not one by one but grouping them into two categories. That confused me a bit and still does. It seems the senior manager has only dealt with the grievances they felt only needed recommendations. Not to mention they didn't even have a minute taker organised (meeting was arranged last week) and the room wasn't even ready. I will add they just grabbed a colleague from their own department last minute to take the minutes.

I left calmly and professionally though I was seething inside because I did have a lot of supporting evidence and witnesses to back up. But it seems they have not spoken to any of the witnesses who also had a similar experience to me and the really important grievances were just ignored. They did say I could appeal, which I will. Has anyone had any similar experiences to something like this?

I have recently raised a grievance at work against my line manager and have also included other managers from a different department and their boss. The grievances are related to bullying, harassment, working in unsafe conditions and also working in a hostile environment, to mention a few, all of which I have evidence and witnesses to back up. I also have evidence that would be considered whistleblowing which I have yet to send to the company whistleblowing service that also relates to the people I have mentioned above.

A grievance meeting is to be held soon, to get my side of the story etc and as you can imagine it has been a stressful time. I have been off work for a few weeks and do not plan on going back as realistically it would not work out for me (toxic company where speaking out is like walking around with a red dot on you).

So, my question is. Could I ask to have a protected conversation, before the whole grievance investigation takes place or would it be better to ask this afterwards?

Also, what is the likelihood that my employer will approach me first about having a protected conversation?

Thanks.
