How realistic is it for me to land a position working on Autonomous vehicles

I specifically would like to work on the software aspect.

For context, I am currently pursuing a MS degree in Computer Science with an emphasis in AI/ML. My thesis focuses on computer vision, and I am a research assistant in a lab that focuses on CV in remote sensing. I have experience (one internship) as an embedded SWE for a rather large defense company.

As for course work, I have taken courses that cover filtering, tracking, and data fusion, as well as fuzzy logic and genetic algorithms.

I know I lack knowledge on actual robotics, kinematics, and probably some other glaring areas. What are the odds that I land a position in autonomous vehicles?

Hello!

I am a Computer Science Master's student and have found that I lack knowledge on Bayesian Statistics. I do not have room in my schedule to take a class on the subject, but I find myself consistently googling to understand papers that use some type of Bayesian method. I figured that a good use of my summer would be to self-study the topic.

I have taken a calculus-based statistics course as well as a course that focuses probability theory in computation (combinatorics, frequentists based approaches, probabilistic algorithms). I am looking for a book that I can self-study in a summer given my current knowledge in statistics. I am hoping that the book is rigorous while still offering some intuition along the way. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks
