I have an almost 8-month-old male orange cat. When I took him to the vet for his initial shots and exam, the vet told me that he had a level 2 heart murmur and that she recommends I take him to see a cardiologist before he gets neutered. The vet's concern was him getting blood clots and dying under anesthesia. However the cardiologist will be $800 with the procedure then being between $200-$400, and being nineteen years old in my own apartment paying rent; I am in a rough spot. I'm trying to figure out the likelihood of him actually not making it through anesthesia.
