Second photo: 8 days after surgery
The remaining photos were taken now, 1 month after surgery. The "ridges" visible in some photos are caused by the supportive bra.

Hi! Here is my second update following my breast augmentation with 400 cc high-profile round implants (OTM). It has now been exactly one month since the surgery, and I wanted to give a quick update on where I stand now.

As you can see, the result hasn't changed much (thankfully!). However, the breasts are significantly less swollen and a bit softer. They still feel a little tender, with occasional random twinges of pain in various spots. There is still some tightness around the scars when I get up in the morning, but it goes away quickly. I stopped taking all painkillers completely about two weeks after the surgery and haven't needed any since.

Unfortunately I forgot to take any pictures of the scars when I changed the tape the other day. I think they look pretty ok considering it’s only been a month although they’re not completely flat and smooth yet. I hope that the silicone scar tape will do it’s job.

As of today, most restrictions are being lifted (FINALLY!), and I can start living a fairly normal life. Up until now, I’ve needed a lot of help due to the restrictions—for instance, with grocery shopping, washing my hair, heavier household chores, carrying things, etc. I’ve been taking gentle walks since day 10 and was able to return to the gym in week 3 with VERY light workouts, which I’ll now start to ramp up gradually.

I never thought it would happen to me, but I’ve started experiencing a bit of "boob greed" and sometimes feel like I should have gone up a size; still, most of the time I’m just as happy as I was at day 8.

If you’re wondering about any other details, there’s a lot of information in my previous post.

Trying to decide between over vs under the muscle (400cc Mentor implants)

Hi! I’m scheduled for a breast augmentation soon and would really appreciate hearing other people’s thoughts and experiences.
Both my surgeon and I felt that I was kind of on the borderline between needing a lift + implants versus implants only, but we ultimately decided to go with augmentation only to avoid the additional scars and recovery from a lift.
The plan is Mentor implants, 400cc, and my surgeon said I’m a candidate for either over or under the muscle placement. I’m trying to understand the pros and cons more deeply before making the final decision.
One of my concerns with under-the-muscle placement is that the implants might sit too high or look less natural at first, but at the same time it seems like it’s still considered the “standard” option in many cases.
For those who were also borderline for a lift:
How did you decide between over vs under the muscle?
Are you happy with your choice long term?
Did anyone regret not doing a lift at the same time?
Would really appreciate any advice, experiences or things you wish you had known beforehand :)
