Can I turn right if a car is turning left across me?
Hi,
I have my G2 in a few days and I'm feeling very nervous. I was in a situation today which I drew in the image (the green and red circles represent the lights). I was going to turn right at a red light and creeped up to see (I am the blue car in the drawing) any oncoming traffic. I saw that the way was clear and was going to turn (didn't move yet) when a car turning left with its green light (the car in purple) went to turn so I waited for them to complete it before moving. My instructor told me I would fail on the test for hesitating there but I was confused because in a very similar situation (except at a one way stop sign instead of controlled intersection) I turned right after confirming the way was clear as a car turned left to go next to me and my instructor told me to wait next time. What should I do on the test and in general? Thanks.
