It was like a children’s picture book with childlike oil pastel or crayon art, and the main character was a little boy or man who had a friendship with the moon. It was a very short story that you could read in one setting. There was a page with the boy on a boat looking up at the moon, which then the sun only appeared near the end or in a few pages, I think, not sure. Also, it's NOT "My Friend The Moon" by Andrè Dahan!! It's also extremely hard to find like I've searched a lot of children's books about a boy and the moon, and none of them matched.

I would spend my time alone in the library during my high school days when I was depressed and I would just come back to read it every day without using my free time to eat lunch.
