Filling Bottles on the DAKO Auto-stainer Link 48
Hey guys! I have a question on filling new regents bottles. We have a lot of reagents that come in at 7 mL but the bottles we have go from 5 mL , 12 mL , and 25 mL. I don’t want to fill the 5 and waste reagent but the 12 is too much. Is it fine if I scan the 12 mL bottle and for the Fill Volume I put 7 mL? One of the techs here says it’s bad and it will change all the bottles or cause an error when the machine scans the reagent bottles in, but our main tech says it’s fine. Sadly the main tech had a medical issue and won’t be back for a while so I’m confused on what’s the best way to make new bottles. If you guys have any other tips and tricks for the DAKO let me know! I’m still pretty new to the machine and am about to take my HTL exam (just have to set the exam date but nervous) thank you for all the help!
