What Would the 2028 Equivalents of Goldwater and McGovern Be for their Respective Parties?

i.e. Candidates so radical, that they are locked bellow the 40% vote mark.

What if Donald Trump Won the Republican Nomination in 2016 and (Somehow) Won the General Election

I know this is extremely unrealistic, but Jon Stewarts defeat of Cruz in 2020 showed that outsiders can win.

I bet he'd pick some crazy as his running mate like Palin or Michael Flynn

If Nick Clegg Won in 2010 would he have been Re-elected?

And even more importantly if the Lib-Dems won the most seats, and didn't win a majority, (The only likely scenario) who would become prime minister? Would they do a reverse of our timeline and partner with the Tories? I'm not sure.

The Average Ideology on the Subreddit

Yesterday I made on poll on the subreddit asking people for there score, or relative score on the Political compass test. Over 100 people answered!

I then added up all the answers, averaged them out a put them on the political compass

Overall this has been a surprise

Firstly I expected way more joke answers, and after reading through them all, they almost all seem to be serious.

Secondly, I thought that the subreddit was pretty solidly left leaning, so I was surprised by the moderate too - centre left result.

Overall this was good fun to make and a nice experiment.

Thank you to all who answered

The social score in numbers: -0.3

The economic score in numbers: -3.0

Political Lean of Community

Even though I know it will be Lib-Left, I am curious what the ideological leaning of the community is. I will average out everyone's answers then place them on the compass grid. Please complete the form if you want.

You do not have to complete the test if you don't want too, however I would prefer it if you did. If you haven't done the test, just give a vague idea of where you would rank yourself on the two issues

Will post a picture of the Compass if enough people respond

Please complete only once
