Instagram Business Account Verification Problem — ID Doesn’t Match Brand Name
Has anyone had this exact Instagram verification problem with a business account?
Our clothing brand Instagram account was first restricted on May 3. I completed the video selfie verification and the account was restored the next day on May 4.
Then on May 11 the account got restricted again. At first the video selfie verification would not even work for almost a week — it kept failing and not loading. Eventually I managed to pass the video selfie verification.
The next day Instagram asked me to upload my ID. I uploaded my driver’s license, but then I got a message saying that the information on my ID does not match the information on the Instagram account.
The problem is that this is a BUSINESS account for a clothing brand/store, so obviously the account name is different from my personal name on my documents.
Now after a few days the verification flow changed again and it just asks me to upload identity documents from the beginning.
I’m honestly scared the account could get permanently disabled if I submit the wrong thing again.
Support keeps telling us only to “complete the standard verification process” and nobody from Meta support or even our Facebook ads manager can actually explain what documents we are supposed to upload in this situation.
The account is connected to our Business Manager, we have a registered FOP/business, trademark, website, and active advertising history.
Has anyone had a similar issue with a business/brand account where the account name does not match the personal ID name? Were you able to recover the account?
