I need a cadenza to play to end a solo of Sophisticated Lady in front of a concert band. I cannot improv to save my life, despite many years of trying. Any advice? I’m not well versed in theory, and chord progressions are lost on me, but I can play what’s on the page well. (Yeah I know, I’m horribly uncool.)
