Players finished the Faltering Light campaign

My players managed to deal with the end encounter pumped up to 10 with only 3 players. Excited to start the new campaign in a few weeks!

Using Stormcasts in your game

Hi, i was wondering how people use Stormcasts in their campaigns.

They have a few restrictions as they:

- dont do endeavours

- cant use soulfire

But with the upside that they can come back to life.

I really dont like the idea of characters dying and then coming back (i know i can just say they wont get reforged soon) but as the reforging process being so painfull and traumatising to them i dont want players to just have a character they can throw at stupid deadly things just for them to come back. As it would go against them still being able to die (mostly it's just a mechanic that seems to have no downsides from a player PoV)

My players seem to be discouraged playing them mostly because of the endeavours and soulfire they would be left out of (which i completely understand)

If there would be an PC stormcast that would die, i'd probably only let them return as an NPC (without momeries of his former party) but it would be nice to have them do endeavours and use soulfire.

I'm mainly curious how other GM's handle having stormcasts in their party

Do weapon trait bonusses stack?

I have a player that wants to use two trident daggers, these have the defensive trait. They just seem to be an upgrade from regular daggers.

Do these effects stack? So that their defence increases two steps?

Defensive trait from the core rules:

DEFENSIVE

A Defensive weapon can be used to parry and deflect incoming attacks.

Your Defence increases one step when using a Defensive weapon.

My players managed to finish the intro campaign (Crash and Burn)

They managed to get the grund working again and blew up the big bad before he was able to even take his turn 🥲. Plans for the follow up (brightspear campaign) are on the way.
