Seems marking flaked off but as a whole it looks ok. Underneath traces are ok from the legs to where thy connect to.

Visually it looks bad, but im no expert. Cant find any data sheet for the sharp tfc as to the resistor values.

Resof the top side looks good and underneath. This only.blemish

Sharp TF Modification of power board

While i wait for the cap kit from console5, i decided to alter the 8pin din and rca jack positions. I replaced the old 8pin with a new one from nesrgb kit and severed the traces underneath as per insttructions to use neogeo scart cable for rgb.

As you can see i removed both rca jacks and decided to use 8pin mini-din for cv and sv and 3.5mm jack for audio. . This way, for me, i can keep cv and sv on one cable, rgb on the other and sound on another...

I could of merged them to one if i wanted to, but either way, i would still need sep cables anyway. This way i dont want to alter the case. Ill have to do minor trim formini 8pin to pass it thro, but the 3.5mm i had to be creative..

While i wait, im going to clean the case and repaint it a brighter red or just leave it as is, not sure yet

Took the advice earlier and got some of the green goo to protect the exposed areas of the sharp tf pcb

Best way to fix rhis ?

I am inprogress of doing nesrgb mod...

The chip was a pita to remove, did everything right, extra solder, desoldring gun and heat gun. I used a flar tip screw driver to pop it out as i was using the gun. Maybee i wasnt carefull

Well chip came out ok but this is result. I used a meter to test traces and cont passed one end to the other from the test points. I installed a socket for the chip and did contin test pin for pin from top side ro underneath and it passed, beeped on all pins. Lucky i guess

I have tje area in questioned covered up with that gold foil tape for soldering to protect it untill i find proper way to fix. I heard of the green goo and uv light but dont have that on hand
