How do I get into game development in the future
Hi guys, I am about to start my bachelor's in computer science and in the future I want to get a job in making video games wether it be AAA games or indie games. The issue is that my dad gave me advice (which I think is solid) that is to be part of an emerging field so that you'll be competing with people who are pretty much inexperienced rather than joining a mature field where you compete with people who have years and years of experience. He also said to forget the idea of coding as coding will later on be done by AI. This is the entire issue, the mature fields like software engineering seem to be heavily linked with game development but I might not be able to get a job in it as it might get replaced by AI or I'm competing with already experienced people, while on the other hand the growing fields like AI I don't think are very involved with game development. I'd be very grateful for any advice you guys have for me as to what field do I join, the future of that field and it's relation with game development, and what skills should I start trying to get. Thank you in advance
