Please help, how to remove late payments with Capital One
Hi everyone,
Does anyone have advice on how I can get this removed from my credit report?
I’ve sent two goodwill adjustment requests and disputed it twice, explaining the circumstances, but I haven’t had any success so far.
I went through a difficult period during COVID when I was unexpectedly laid off. As soon as I was employed again, I made it a priority to pay the account in full. The balance has been completely paid off since 2024.
Unfortunately, this item is still having a significant impact on my credit score and is limiting my ability to qualify for better credit card options and other financial opportunities.
Has anyone been successful in a similar situation, or are there any other steps I should consider? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
