19yo, how am i doing?

i got my first card just over a year ago, bofa to get 3% on gas, 1% on everything, then got discover, bofa, bofa, and cap one now.

i dont have any auto loans, just good payment history. never been an AU

i plan to get the apple card and venture x eventually, i had an offer from apple but for some reason didnt take it (i was being stupid) and now they wont take me because i have too many hard inquiries (i went for a venture x app hoping they would take me, not long enough credit age which makes sense)

anything else i should be doing?

20M, making a plan to buy a house in about five years, fair salary almost 5k in debt should be debt-free in 2027

But not sure which one of these will be trusted by lenders

My car payment was not being reported for 4+ years

I recently went to the credit union to discuss my account and I was told they don't see my car loan on my Equifax. I have been paying this on time for the past 4 years. This was being reported on my girlfriends account but not mines. Has this happened to anyone before? I'm wondering if they can retro post all the payments on my credit or will it be a new account? I currently only have 7 months of credit history paying a secured credit card but surely 4 years of car payments would have had a big effect on my credit?

Reporting my rent??

Thinking of ways to boost my credit, still. The option of using Self or some other service for reporting my rent payments to credit bureaus seems good. Long as it's free. Anyone else done this? Thoughts?

Clearing my credit cards is it a good idea to cancel them or will it help my credit score to keep them at a 0 balance

I recently moved and the property we moved to has proven to be a money pit. To get the house up to scratch I have had to spend around £40,000 on credit cards. I will be clearing them and if I’m honest to myself I would struggle to maintain a zero balance as it always feels like “something is needed” and I will end up spending on them again. From a financial and credit file perspective what is my best course of action?

Rebuilding credit from OpenSky 300 credit line

35 years old and working really hard on rebuilding my 300$ credit line credit score. Any quick ways to rebuild to 690.

Overdue bill finally off after 7 years!

Have to express relief here, if you all don't mind. Divorced a spendthrift spouse who used my name without permission to open accounts in my name and was late paying them and other acounts.

Divorced almost four years ago and the last late payment just dropped off a week ago after seven years on my report. FICO 8 shot up 62 points to well into the 800s. Didn't realize it made such a big difference. So relieved. Finally free!

Current Credit Card Lineup

Years ago, in my mid 20s, I made some terrible financial decisions and nearly ruined my life by maxing out all of my credit cards. It took years of hard work and discipline to pay off that debt and rebuild my credit. My comeback started with a Mission Lane credit card. From there, I slowly added new accounts, practiced responsible credit habits and continued rebuilding my financial profile one step at a time. I know it’s ultimately just a number, but one of my personal goals is to reach an exceptional credit score. Looking back at where I started, I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m motivated to keep improving. At the end of the year, I’m going to upgrade my Chase Sapphire Preferred to a Reserve and I’ll also upgrade my American Express Gold to a Platinum. How do you think I’m doing so far???

Rebuilding after divorce

Stereotypical situation where everything was in his name and in the end he began making some really bad decisions and I voluntarily took myself off of authorized user status, which erased over 20 years of credit history.

So here I am a middle-aged person essentially trying to build good credit like a 20 year-old and I don’t really understand the answer to this:

I have Experian alerts turned on. My current credit limit is low enough that if I do something like buy a plane ticket even if I immediately transfer a payment through my bank, it appears that in the interim my credit score drops.

I pay off in full. My credit score goes back up.

I would like to get enough of a credit limit that something as minor as buying an occasional plane ticket or heaven forbid plane tickets for me and my children doesn’t ding my credit

I don’t carry a balance. I pay it off every month.

While I rebuild, I am living with my parents. I don’t have a mortgage. I don’t have student loans. I only have a car payment. A very small car payment.

The one credit card I have is a Chase.

I just wanna get sufficiently high credit that the occasional larger purchase doesn’t ding my score.

Any advice?

How do I max this ?

Ciao team,

New to USA, moved here in October 2025.

I’m in an okay spot. In anticipation of my arrival my bro made me an authorised user on his cards in 2024 which I think brought it to 750 when I got here. Now it’s stagnant - I’m wondering what I can do to reach 850 eventually. I want to buy a home in one year.

3 credit cards totalling 8k. 105k salary. Pay everything on time obviously. No car payment.

Thank you!

Credit Building After IVA

Hello! I am looking for some advice of how to rebuild my credit score after an IVA.

My last payment is due in August 2026, and I would assume I will have the completion details by September 2026. I understand the IVA will stay on my credit file until next year.

I really want to rebuild my credit score as quickly as possible on completion, as I am now at a point in my life where I want to get a Mortgage and settle down (even though it feels like a million miles away from where I am stood right now). I stupidly decided to proceed with an IVA when I was 20, and if I knew then what I know now, i would never have agreed to it.

Thanks in advance for the advice :)

The Lineup at 21yo

FICO: 755

My setup aims to minimize time reconciling month to month while maximizing cashback. It’s not perfect but for a no annual fee cashback focused lineup it’s decent. Robinhood gold card does require gold subscription but my investment accounts are with them.

Business:
Robinhood gold card 3% CB: Catch all business spend
PayPal Mastercard 3% CB on all online purchases through PayPal: shipping labels eBay

Personal:
- AAA Signature Visa 5% CB groceries and 3% Gas in addition I use Upside and Casey’s rewards for extra CB
- Citi Custom Cash 5% CB for the first $500 in spend
on your top spend category. It’ll drop to 1% if you go over that. I use mine for Restaurants
- Citi Double Cash 2% CB for big personal purchases

Any other spend is on debit cards which are Kasasa rewards accounts as well.

Equifax not allowing report to be pulled.

So, I have been battling with equifax for about 6 months about unlocking/unfreezing/releasing any and all holds on my credit report. I have been sending in letters to their costumer dispute proving who I am with the letter to release everything to anyone that is trying to request my credit report.

I have gotten nowhere and interest rates have gone up making my refi seem less like a good idea. I am to the point that I can sue them in small claims court for 15k in Utah for damages and about to go that route next but if anyone knows any way to get this resolved I would like to know.

I am always talking to someone with an Indian accent, and they always claim they cannot hear me very well when I have full bars on my phone. I am calling again on Monday and will keep asking for a manager until I find out who is in charge there, but I am at wits end with Equifax.

What’s gonna happen

I’ve just moved out my uni house but still have to pay the WiFi bill as my name is on it. It’s for 2 more months. What happens if I stop paying it. I heard my credit score will go down, but I have no card on file - I always enter the details to pay.

Starting to cook! What’s the next move?

25, building my credit up right now.
Got 3 Cap1 cards:
$300 Savor
$500 T-Mobile
$250 Secured
Just got approved for the Savor so things starting to move.
What’s the smartest next step?
Who should I apply with next?
Best way to get higher limits fast?
Credit unions worth it?
Trying to level up quick.
Thanks In Advance 🏂
