Which magical ring would you accept?

A magical being comes to you and offers you different rings that you can wear throughout your life that will offer life changing effects. You can take the rings off as you please, but the effects cannot be used on other people. You get to choose \*\*1 ring\*\* to keep from the follow options:

  1. The Love Ring - When worn, this ring allows you to choose anyone who will instantly find you insanely attractive. They will lust over you intensely. If you are able to form a relationship with them, this will turn into romantic feelings rather than pure lust. They do not automatically like your personality though. So if you treat them like trash, they’ll likely not go for you despite their physical attraction towards you. This can be used on whoever you want, for however many people you want. You can also manually get them to stop finding you attractive. The effect does not wear off when you take the ring off.

  2. The Flight Ring - When worn, this ring allows you to fly at up to 100mph / 161kmph for up to 1 hour. Once the 1 hour mark hits, you’ll slowly start to feel a tingling sensation that grows over the next 30 minutes to the most searing mind numbing pain you’ve ever felt. This pain grows over the 30 minutes, and if you fly for less than an hour you’ll never feel any pain. Once you land, each minute of flight takes 3 minutes to reset. Essentially this means if you fly for exactly an hour, you have to wait 3 hours to get that full hour of flight back. It’s like a battery that recharges though

  3. The Brute Ring - When worn, this ring boosts up all physical stats. You can lift 3x the weight you could before. You can run 1.5x faster. You can jump 1.5x higher. Your total endurance is increased 2x. Your durability is increased by 2x. You also get more coordinated than you were without the ring

  4. The Intellect Ring - When worn, this ring increases your IQ by 60 points; this is capped at an IQ of 180. This increases your fluid reasoning, working memory, processing speed, spatial ability, and verbal comprehension. It also increases your memory by a large margin. This ring does not increase your accumulated knowledge. For example, you will not immediately understand complex aspects of theoretical physics (Unless you’ve already learned it lol). If you learn something that you previously could not have grasped, and then you take the ring off, you’ll slowly forget how the thing you learned works. You’ll remember you learned it though

  5. The Wealth Ring - There is an internal timer in this ring that counts to 93 full days. This is about 3 months. You get paid every 24 hours $0.01 (USD) with it doubling every time it reaches the 3 months. So if yoy keep the ring on and never take it off, you get $0.01 everyday deposited right into your bank account, tax free. Then after 3 months, it doubles to $0.02 everyday. This one is a waiting game, but after 6 years you make about $15 million. At this point, you’re getting paid tens of thousands per day.

  6. The Health Ring - When worn, this ring makes it so that you can never get sick ever again. This ranges from the common cold to a terminal illness. This also makes it so you are cured of any illness or autoimmune disease you may have already. You also age 3x slower. When you take the ring off, you go back to aging normally. You can still get hurt with this ring from injuries and such, but your healing is sped up 2x. You cannot regrow limbs though

Would you judge someone who is stranded on an island for engaging in cannibalism?

Let’s say someone you know goes on a solo vacation by themselves. The trip is by plane ride. Halfway through their trip, something goes wrong and the plane crashes on an island. This person is the sole survivor, and there’s no one else on the island. The island is pretty far from any other land. This person has very incredible camping knowledge, but there’s no food around on the island other than the plane’s prepared meals. After a while, they eventually go through all of the plane’s prepared meal foods. They are starving but they really don’t want to die. They eventually cave in, and decide to pull a body out that doesn’t look too decayed or dirty, they cut it up, cook it, and eat it. They don’t enjoy it but they’re desperate. Eventually they get rescued and upon getting home it’s made public that they were saved, ate someone, hated it, and mainly focused on survival. If you saw this on TV or social media, would you judge the person? Also just as a clarification, the person they eat is a complete stranger.

Bonus Question: Could you ever see yourself doing this if you were stranded like this person?

Edit: Let’s just confirm the body isn’t gross and toxic somehow. I know realistically by the time they’d get through the airline food, the bodies on the plane would likely be too decayed and toxic to eat.

Christian’s disagreements on free will hurt their credibility

Essentially I’m going to be debating on the fact that Christians as a whole lack some credibility in their arguments because there seems to be so much dispute between them. My best friend is a devout Christian and I’m happy for him and care for him like a brother. I don’t shame people for believing. I’m personally atheist and I actually see a lot of good in Christianity or any religion for that matter. My friend argues that while they may not agree on everything, they all have the same sort of general idea of how everything works and considering the core parts they seem to have in common, that should enforce some credibility. I can respect this. My argument is mainly that while yes, they agree on a lot and that’s very commendable, there is a big core part that I’ve seen many many disagreements on and I think that takes a big chunk of credibility away if I’m being honest. That’s the topic of free will. I’ve seen some people argue that God makes us and lets us figure it out on our own. Some say he makes us, he lets us figure it out, but there’s this sort of godly influence that points us in the right direction but it’s up to us in the end. And then others argue that god makes us and free will is an illusion we don’t actually have any free will. Predetermination essentially. And I’m sure there’s more arguments I haven’t even heard. I feel like this is a BIG thing to not have a common ground on! It’s literally a main part of how God would function assuming He’s real! I just think if you can’t agree on a literal core part about how God Himself functions, then idk I think it displays a lack of overall credibility and understanding. Sorry if any of this seemed to lack respect or displayed ignorance! I try my best to understand everything.

You’re at home when you see on the news that there is a confirmed zombie outbreak in all major cities in your home country. Your country is the origin of the outbreak. You’re home alone and cannot get into contact with your family, friends, anyone. You have no clue where they are, if they’re dead, etc. You can wait home if you’d like but that is risky of course. Your devices still have WiFi and cellular connection though for the time being. You find out about the apocalypse on the earlier side; some people know and believe it, but not many. Throughout these first 24 hours is when it gets very chaotic; by the end of these 24 hours, everyone believes and is actively trying to prepare and it essentially becomes anarchy. The zombies themselves travel in small packs, have average human level strength, and they can move at jogging speed. They are similar to TWD zombies such that they only die to intense brain damage and also that one zombie can last for years whether it eats or not

This is the general timeline of how this plays out:

Hour 0 - When you figure it out. Only some people know

Hour 24 - Everyone in the world knows about the apocalypse even if it hasn’t reached them yet. The apocalypse has spread to neighboring areas to the cities it originally broke out in. Not yet the full country though

Day 2 - It has fully spread across your country. Most roads are blocked by this point except for some very wide major highways and off road trails

Day 7 - The outbreak is now fully worldwide

Day 10 - Cell towers go down

Day 14 - All energy infrastructures go down. If you’re still at home, you only have power if you have solar panels or some external power source that does not rely on your areas local power

How would you prepare for the outbreak? Would you go out and buy supplies? Stay home and turn your house into a fortress?

Please be reasonable… Do not assume you can get anything you want from any store at any time. Not at first, but eventually many others will be trying to prepare just like you and places will get completely raided and fights will likely happen. Have fun answering!
