Looking for an affordable vet in NJ who does deslorelin implants for ferrets

Hi everyone. I have a ferret who needs a deslorelin implant. I’ve called two vets in New Jersey so far and both quoted me around $1,600. I can’t afford that right now.

Does anyone know a vet in NJ (or nearby PA/NY) who does ferret implants for a more reasonable price? I’m willing to drive.

What are these bugs in my ball python's water bowl?

Hey folks, I need some help identifying these bugs! I just fully changed the substrate for my ball python 4 days ago. I used coconut fiber, mixed with some cypress mulch and repsoil. Out of nowhere, on the 4th day, a ton of these tiny bugs suddenly showed up and drowned in the water bowl.

Before the deep clean, I used to see one or two of them occasionally, but never this many at once. Also, I noticed they have wings!

Does anyone know what they are? Are they harmful to my snake?
