Can I still rescue some?
Hey, this is my first attempt at growing mushrooms, i received a growing kit (mexican) with a colonized substrat at february, and I forgot it in a box for few months. Last week, I found it back, and decided to give it a try.
Since the kit was ready to cultivate kit (I was supposed to just open the box for the first time and let them start growing, or keep it in the fridge for up to 4 weeks before starting to culture which i didn't) I did a cold shcok (cold water for 12hours in the fridge, then i removed the water and opened the box)
In the next week, (4/5 days ago) the first mushrooms started growing pretty fast (god, I never imagined they grow that fast) and now, it seems like the skirts are unveiling, but is it infected? I have some dark spots and also a blob of fungi that grew at first and that has a strange color (4th image)
I had some bad luck during the first week, the temparature rose from average of 10°C to 30 in during the end of the first week, and the weather has become extremely hot. I had no AC, but i left the growing kit in a bright space with no direct exposure to light. The culture guide said that the temperature should be between 18 and 28°
Should i start harvesting?
