NMAT or NCLEX
Hi! I’m an RN, fresh grad currently working in a health center. Earning minimum wage. I’m offered for a staff nurse position in a hospital in another area. There’s something in me that likes to proceed to med school and take NMAT. But, being a USRN has been my dream for the last couple of years. I’m torn between taking the NCLEX or NMAT :(( please help me decide :((
If I’ll do the NMAT, I will stay here at my current job. Earn minimum wage around 500 pesos per day and work mondays-friday 8am-5pm. And take the next cycle (October).
If I’ll take the NCLEX, then I should grab the staff nurse position since hopitals in the US usually needs 2 years of hospital experience (Clinic/health centers are not counted). Then I also have to relocate. But I’ll earn around 5k-8k more compared to my current job, with night differential.
