HOWTO: Auto Connect Apple Watch to Xfinity Wifi Hotspots (Standalone/kids profiles, too!)
It's shockingly simple, but here are the instructions:
- Have the watch nearby (unlocked and on a wrist is good)
- On the iPhone with the Apple Watch App (the app used to manage your watch/watches), go to:
https://secureprofile.wifi.connected.xfinity.com ("Welcome to Xfinity WiFi hotspots")
- Sign in, click the "Download Profile" button
- Click the "Continue" system prompt from your phone
- "Allow" for the prompt about downloading a configuration profile
- Select "Watch" (come back and do it again for your iPhone if you haven’t set it up to use the free hotspots)
- Follow the prompts (select a watch, etc.)
- If it fails, the watch might’ve been locked. Just try again.
- If it succeeds, you will get a confirmation message on the iPhone, as well as on the Apple Watch's screen.
