I’ve never had a credit card and I don’t know where to begin

Hey everyone! I’m in my mid 20s and have never had a credit card in my life. While I do have “good” (~660) credit from paying off an auto loan, but I feel very behind on my credit building journey.

I’ve been reading about a ton of different cards and have asked my friends about what they like, but it’s all so new. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’d prefer a card without an annual fee but I don’t know how much to weigh the different perks (e.g., travel rewards, cash back). Most of my spending is just on groceries, rent, and eating out at local spots.

I’d like to do more traveling and am curious if it would be better to choose a travel card with hopes of using those on a future trip. Alternatively, would cash back be better? Can you transfer between travel points vs cash back?

Any advice would be appreciated!
