Roosevelt between Main and Union

Has anyone else noticed an alarming decline in this particular stretch of Roosevelt over the summer? Specifically in the vicinity of the Macy’s and Flagstar Bank, by the subway entrances. Increasing homeless sprawled out on the sidewalk and mentally ill people screaming at pedestrians. What’s happening?

Future arc of the manga

In a similar vein to the other discussion on the anime season 3, I just started reading the future arc of the manga, and to be honest, it’s a struggle. I’m about a quarter of the way into Volume 21, and I’m not feeling interested in the story at all. Even the modern arc, with all its issues, still kept my attention and I breezed through reading it. But these volumes are dragging. >!Fushi’s barely been in the story so far. 90% of the focus is on this humanoid doll that I’m suddenly supposed to care about.!< Wondering if it gets better at some point?

Kyle McCarley narrating the light novel audiobook

Kyle McCarley, the English dub VA for Yoshiki, announced on his Instagram today that he’s narrating the audiobook for the light novels. I loved his work on the English dub and think this is a great choice for novel. Can’t wait to listen to his narration and how he brings the story to life all over again in a different medium!

Anime with an atmosphere similar to Season 1 Episode 1?

Anime-only viewer here. When I first watched Episode 1 of Season 1, I was immediately pulled in by the mystery and otherworldliness of the Tower. The strange, lonely, and ancient atmosphere just had me hypnotized.

I enjoyed the rest of Season 1, but for me, the series never fully recaptured that exact feeling from the first episode. Does anyone have anime recommendations that capture a similar aura found in Ep1?
